Commitment to Biomaterial Quality

We offer a wide range of bioinks and biomaterials to ensure the viability of cells before, during and after bioprinting. Each optimized formulation confers the rheological properties that cells require to produce and organize their own extracellular matrices (ECM). Given the important role a bioink plays in the success of 3D cell culturing and tissue engineering research, quality control is our top priority. We therefore maintain and regulate strict manufacturing standards and conduct extensive testing to ensure low batch-to-batch variability.

Whether our raw ingredients are coming from suppliers in Sweden, Norway or the United States, we ensure that they meet our quality and purity requirements. We also maintain sterile and aseptic manufacturing environments from start to finish. Furthermore, all produced batches are rigorously tested to ensure they are sterile, endotoxin-free and fully functional before they are shipped out.

Industry-Leading Quality Testing

Endotoxin Levels

As endotoxins affect the functionality of mammalian cells, we monitor endotoxin levels closely to ensure that each batch complies with data integrity standards.

Sterility

We perform sterility testing on all produced batches using the highest standards and exceeding regulatory requirements to keep research products free of bacteria, fungi or yeast.

Cell Viability

To ensure that batches contain no cytotoxins, we test cell viability after 7 days of culture to confirm that cells are growing and proliferating as expected.

Viscosity

We make sure to evaluate the rheological properties of every product and batch so that they meet the viscosity required for cell health and bioprinting success.

pH Levels

As pH levels above 7.4 can cause cell cytoplasm contraction and a pH below 6.5 can irreversibly stop cell activity, we diligently assess and balance pH levels in every batch of bioink and buffer solution.

Biomaterials for every application

We produce premium biomaterials that are not only pure but also maintain low batch-to-batch variability to ensure your results are reliably reproducible.

Base materials

Naturally sourced materials, like alginate, collagen and gelatin, are available in lyophilizate or powder form to be reconstituted as needed, so bioink properties can be fine-tuned for research freedom.

Stock solutions

Pre-dissolved liquid concentrates of alginate, GelMA and pluronics can be easily mixed with other components to impart specific characteristics and enhance printability.

Ready-to-use bioinks

Get bioprinting in no time with our standard bioinks shipped in ready-to-use cartridges, so you can combine them with cells or thickeners to enhance cell viability and interactions.

Advanced bioinks

Work smarter, not harder, with tissue-specific bioinks formulated to optimize the proliferation and differentiation of specific cells when biofabricating complex tissue.

Tissue-engineering kits

Our kits include all the essentials for engineering complex tissues. A liver kit, for instance, includes decellularized liver ECM, nanocellulose, alginate and related consumables.
