Description
Nanofibrillated Cellulose (NFC), jointly patented by UPM-Kymmene Corporation and CELLINK Bioprinting AB, is a natural material consisting of fibrils with high aspect ratio, 5–20 nm wide and several microns long, which makes it semi-translucent and allows for cell imaging and analysis. Nanofibrillated Cellulose (NFC) demonstrates shear thinning behavior as a hydrogel, which makes it a perfect fit as a bioink thickener to achieve excellent bioprinting properties.
