High-resolution Confocal Imaging of 3D Bioprinted Liver Constructs with RCM2 System
A collaboration with Confocal.nl is overcoming challenges posed by the complexity of more advanced 3D bioprinted tissue models like the liver. This new protocol yields higher resolutions in less time and avoids phototoxicity by using the Confocal.nl’s Re-scan Confocal Microscope (RCM2) to image 3D liver constructs bioprinted with the BIO X.
Read our tech note, which demonstrates that RCM2 imaging of bioprinted liver constructs:
- Generates higher resolution, higher contrast images compared to wide-field.
- Produces images even faster (12 seconds vs 30 seconds).
- Results in protein localizations that are clearly visible.
- Avoids the phototoxicity and photobleaching of laser power.
- Is easy to use, fast and sensitive.
- Is an excellent choice for 3D imaging of both fixed and live samples.
