Description
It retains prolific cytocompatibility of gelatin and at the same time enables bioprinting at ambient conditions and provides mechanical versatility of crosslinking. The last feature makes it possible to adjust the stiffness of cell microenvironment to resemble harder tissue models such as cartilage. With the addition of cartilage-specific components such as hyaluronan and laminin 521, we are also able to regulate the biological microenvironment native for cartilage tissue.
