Introducing Biodispensing
As industry leaders in bioprinting, and thanks to our valuable customers, our knowledge of 3D biology research remains unrivaled. This in-depth understanding of 3D biology and our customers’ needs has enabled the development of biodispensing. Through a lens of bio convergence, we have harmonized the best practices within bioprinting with the higher throughput, automation-capable technology present within the liquid handling field. Now we’re introducing the world’s first ever biodispenser – and a new modality to the world of biofabrication. A hassle- and engineering-free method to develop reproducible 3D models which are compatible with existing analysis workflows.
Welcome to the era of biodispensing.
Tuned for hydrogel dispensing
Each of the three material mixing stations in the BIO CELLX offer precise temperature control, ranging from 0°C to 60°C, allowing for hassle-free printing of ECM Hydrogels
Cell-friendly automation
The BIO CELLX eliminates tedious steps associated with bioink and cell with a patented cell and bioink mixing procedure grounded in maximizing cell viability. Providing users with walk-away capabilities like never before.
Unprecedented reproducibility
Using positive displacement technology, and features like onboard cell mixing, the BIO CELLX provides unprecedented reproducibility across wells and constructs
Workflow
The BIO CELLX enables our customers a cost-effective and time-efficient automated 3D cell culture workflow. The easy-to-use biodispensing system allows you the time and energy to focus on your research.
Features
Precise & reproducible
A high-precision positive displacement extrusion system which provides reproducible results every single time, regardless of the dispensed material.
Uncompromised sterility
CELLINK’s fully enclosed, proprietary Clean Chamber technology, combined with a patent pending de-lidding solution, ensures the sterility of the entire workflow when working on a benchtop in a laboratory environment.
Built-in dispensing protocols
Save time with easy-to-use dispensing protocols
containing validated parameters for 3D model
fabrication, with cell-line flexibility.
Automated Calibration
To achieve an industry-leading positional accuracy, a sensor suite measures the position of each of the dispensing orifices in relation to the position of the vessel. An algorithm compensates any inaccuracies to ensure the precise position of the dispensed model.
Optimized for high cell viability
Every process within the BIO CELLX was developed through a lense of maximizing cell viability, ensuring highly functional cellular models.
No modeling required
Thanks to the variety of 3D models built into DNA Studio ACE there’s no longer a need to spend time modeling in CAD software.
FEATURE HIGHLIGHT: Proprietary Material Mixing Station
Effortless biomaterial preparation. Every time.
With a novel patent pending dispensing mechanism onboard, the BIO CELLX brings a new degree of ease to creating physiologically relevant 3D models, with the ideal matrix environment, and biomechanical cues for your downstream assays.
Maximize workflow efficiency
Thanks to the automatic mixing of bioinks, reagents and cell suspension, the BIO CELLX significantly reduces the preparation time in your 3D cell culture process.
Unparalleled repeatability
Automated bioink preparation reduces the variation in mechanical properties, cell viability, pH and air content of samples, enabling consistent results every single time.
Homogenous cell density
With gentle mixing built into the BIO CELLX, cell density remains evenly distributed throughout the dispensing process, ensuring reproducible 3D models across wells.
