Dr. Rojas will highlight his work using renewable nanoparticles as a customizable platform for biofabrication with self-assembly and extrusion-based 3D printing. His team has explored using cellulose and chitin nanofibers and nanocrystals to produce constructs displaying protective layers enveloping the cores, mimicking skin-bearing biological hierarchical systems.
