As mass-scale vaccination campaigns are ramping up, genomic surveillance of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) is critical to quickly detect and monitor the emergence and spread of new viral variants of potential concern globally.
In this webinar, Prof. Crosetto will give a brief overview of the available methods for SARS-CoV-2 whole genome sequencing (WGS) and their applications in genome surveillance. He will then present a streamlined workflow—COVseq—which has recently been developed in his lab. A method, which leverages the I.DOT, to prepare highly multiplexed libraries for SARS-CoV-2 WGS that enables drastic cost savings compared to commercially available kits.
