Meet CELLINK Application Engineer, Jiaqi Ren!

Name: Jiaqi Ren
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Position: Application Engineer

This is Jiaqi. I grew up in Xi’an, China in an engineer’s family. I came to the U.S. alone when I was eighteen to pursue my education and career. After receiving my degrees in mechanical engineering and robotics engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, I found my passion in the field of additive manufacturing and 3D printing. Before I joined CELLINK, I worked as an Application/Technical Support Engineer in a stereolithography 3D printer startup in Chicago, Illinois. This experience gave me a fresh perspective on how technology enables applications and how applications drive business. Joining CELLINK this April, I was amazed by the amount of potential in the 3D bioprinting field and the possible ways I could bridge the fabrication process with biology as an engineer. Outside of work, I enjoy the outdoors and nature whenever I have a chance. I love cooking, photography, fishing and hiking.

What sparked your interest to work with bioprinting?
The excitement to be a part of the cutting-edge applications. And to see how various additive fabrication processes could make bioprinting even better!
