Inkredible+ : The Truly Incredible Bioprinter That Researchers Can Trust

We have been using Inkredible+ 3D bio-printer for about 1.5 years. We were one of the early adopters of Inkredible+ (BioX was not on the market then, unfortunately) when there was almost no user feedback on the internet. We initially shortlisted two bio-printers (the other being a Philly-based 3D bio-printer company). There was a clear difference in CellInk’s customer approach, product robustness, and confidence in their products, all of which made CellInk stand alone in the market of 3D bioprinting. We trusted the company and now looking back we think it was not a wrong decision to go with CellInk. The technical team has been very helpful in designing different biological structure/models whenever needed. The bioprinter itself is very robust, we never had a mechanical or electrical failure. CellInk also offers different bioinks, which the end users should optimize for their specific research applications. The software side of the instrument is not well developed yet. An integrated single software that can design/draw a model, generate/edit G codes, is yet to arrive. End users can benefit from Bioverse, an useful platform (yet less publicized) to share ideas, designs, and codes. To sum up, Inkredible+ is really incredible: a very good bioprinter, within budget, and from a company who doesn’t forget their customers after selling their products.

BIO X 3D-bioprinter is an easy to use out of the box piece of equipment with straight forward operating menu. Its design allows clean, sterile, and accurate bioprints. Through the BIO X bioprinter, CELLINK is close to the client with support not only on technical level, but also on scientific level providing various 3D-Printing technologies and bioinks. The CELLINK team is open to suggestions for improvements on their systems as well as custom made solutions. The purchasing of the equipment, training on the operation and after sales service was a pleasant and responsive procedure!

Easy to use to start bioprinting

The BioX is extremely easy to use straight out of the box. I was able to get a couple of hydrogels printing within the first couple hours using the equipment. When new users are interested in learning to bioprint, this is the printer I start them out on before introducing them to more complex instruments. Of course, the simplicity to use comes with some slight drawbacks. The BioX doesn’t give quite as many options to use multiple materials in a single print like you can achieve with some other printers. The material choices are restricted to the infill, perimerter, and support of your single object that you are printing. Other printers enable printing of multiple objects at once with different materials, giving you slightly more options. However, those attributes are only necessary in certain applications, so we’ve found good uses for the BioX that complement our use of other bioprinters. For the price, this one is extraordinarily difficult to beat.

The product offers an amazing ease of use. The user doesn’t have to be an expert in the field to get started using the printer and the bioinks. Right out of the box the system is usable and it even comes preloaded with printable files so that you can test things out right away. It also comes with bioinks which is nice as our lab currently doesn’t have the capabilities to make our own materials. The system also comes with a built in clean environment, which is super helpful because we don’t have to put the printer inside our already crammed hoods.

My favorite thing about this printer is how easy it is to use. When going through the different screens everything is very intuitive and having the ability to use 3 different inks during a print is a huge plus!! Also the CELLINK team is so helpful with questions and always responds very quickly whether it’s through email or the chat feature on their website.
