Position: Scientific Officer and BITE team leader

Hi Itedale! Please tell us a little bit about yourself.

I am Itedale, Scientific Officer and team leader of the BITE team. I have a PhD. in Medicinal Chemistry and decided to continue my carrier by exploring stem cell differentiation in the field of Chemical biology. As a person, I love life and I try to enjoy it every day.

Why did you choose to join CELLINK BITE team?

I was introduced to the field of 3D-bioprinting when working in the field of stem cell biology and differentiation. I quickly realized its potential and the great impact that the technology will have on the field of tissue engineering. To directly contribute to the future of medicine by creating realistic and representative models to study cell biology and diseases was very exciting for me.

How is it to manage such a constantly and quickly growing team?

Working at CELLINK and each individual in the BITE team is a pleasure. The BITE team is constantly growing and so are the number of projects we are taking on. To see how the initial project ideas, develop into a product is very rewarding. Being part of such a quickly growing company and to work alongside the team is absolutely amazing. The more members we recruit, the stronger team we become.

What do you wish to accomplish with the BITE team?

As the BITE team, we aim to develop high quality and well-designed products that are offered to the 3D-bioprinting/printing community. We want to provide the tools that will lead to the advancement of the field and contribute to the future of medicine.
